Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 1, 2026

California residents: Section 8 describes your additional rights under CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Washington & Nevada residents: Section 9 describes your additional rights regarding consumer health data.

Kulture Social, Inc. ("KULTURE," "we," or "us") operates a private, approved-user social application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information. By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The short version: we collect what we need to run the app, verify authenticity, and improve matching. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use private messages for advertising. You can delete your account at any time.

1. Information We Collect

What You Provide

Account credentials (phone number for authentication)

Profile information: name, age, gender, neighborhood, profession, photos, and optional fields including cultural background and religion

Questionnaire responses on lifestyle, venues, relationship intent, and cultural identity — some surface in match contexts, others are internal signals only

Messages exchanged with other users through in-app messaging

Communications with our support team

During the Admission Process

KULTURE uses a selective admission process. We review your profile and, where provided, publicly available social media to verify authenticity, confirm eligibility, and maintain community quality. Admission decisions are not based on protected characteristics. Profile data from applicants who are not admitted is deleted within 60 days of a final decision.

Identity Verification & Biometrics

We use image-based verification to confirm you are authentic. Depending on the method used, this may involve processing facial images or related biometric identifiers.

Where our verification process involves the collection of biometric data under applicable law — including Illinois's Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), Texas's Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), or similar state laws — we will present a separate, explicit consent screen before initiating any biometric-related processing. You may decline; an alternative verification method will be offered where feasible. If you prefer not to have facial recognition used, contact support@getkulture.co to request manual review.

Verification images are retained for 30 days following successful verification, or upon account deletion if sooner, including from media storage backups where technically feasible. Biometric data is used only for authentication, safety, and fraud prevention — never for advertising.

Collected Automatically

Device and technical data (device type, OS, app version)

Usage data (features used, session activity, engagement patterns)

Performance and diagnostic data (crash logs, error reports)

Location data, with your permission, for neighborhood-based features — revocable at any time through device settings

Device advertising identifiers for analytics and measurement

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect payment card numbers, government-issued IDs, or financial account details except where needed to process a transaction you initiate. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs for cross-context behavioral advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

7. Automated Processing

We use machine learning to generate compatibility signals and personalize your feed. We do not make legally significant automated decisions without human oversight. Contact support@getkulture.co to request information about the relevant logic or to request human review.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, share, and disclose; receive a portable copy; request deletion; correct inaccurate information; limit use of sensitive personal information; opt out of sale or sharing; and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

Categories we collect: identifiers; protected classification characteristics; internet and network activity; geolocation data; professional information; inferences; and sensitive personal information (cultural or ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, if voluntarily provided).

To exercise California rights, email support@getkulture.co with subject "California Privacy Rights Request." We will verify via account phone number and respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 days). You may designate an authorized agent with written authorization. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out requests.

9. Consumer Health Data — Washington & Nevada Residents

Certain information you voluntarily provide — such as sexual orientation, relationship preferences, or related profile details — may qualify as consumer health data under Washington's My Health MY Data Act or Nevada's consumer health data law. This section describes your additional rights if you reside in either state.

What This Covers

"Consumer health data" under these laws includes personal information that identifies your past, present, or future physical or mental health condition, and may extend to information about sexual orientation or reproductive health where voluntarily shared. KULTURE only collects such information where you choose to provide it as part of your profile.

How We Use and Share It

We use this information solely to operate the Service — including profile display, matching, and community features — and for safety and moderation purposes. We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We share it only with service providers who are contractually restricted to processing it on our behalf as described in Section 3.

Your Rights (Washington & Nevada)

Right to know what consumer health data we have collected about you

Right to withdraw consent to our collection or sharing of your consumer health data

Right to request deletion of your consumer health data

Right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise these rights, email support@getkulture.co with subject "Consumer Health Data Request — [Your State]." We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

KULTURE is restricted to users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If you believe a user may be underage, use the in-app reporting feature. We will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly upon confirmation.

11. Cross-Border Data Transfers

KULTURE is operated from the United States. Accessing the Service from outside the U.S. means your information is transferred to and processed here. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other approved safeguards. Contact support@getkulture.co for more information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date and provide in-app notice of material changes before they take effect.
